Friday, September 29th, 2006

Today’s ROTD belongs to a US Soldier of 14 years.  It’s because of men and women like Jay here that we have the freedoms that we have.  Even while spending years over-seas defending our freedom, Jay was able to put together one of the cleanest Mazda 6s in the country.

Ride of the Day = Ride of the Month with your comments!!

Thursday, September 28th, 2006

Ive decided that whichever Ride of the Day participant gets the most comments left about his/her vehicle, ill make it the Ride of the Month.  Ill send the ROTM winner a Injected Performance Tshirt and offer them a lifetime of discounts on any products Injected Performance sells.  I will also give them a spot on the Injected Performance Gallery and create an article like write-up to be submitted to all the automotive E-zines.

Start leaving those comments and if your car is a contender, post the links and get your friends to leave comments.  Note: Any comments deemed offensive will not be approved for public view.

ROTD- Winged Warrior EVO 8

Wednesday, September 27th, 2006

When this car was submitted, I felt it was an absolute must to make this car a ROTD.  Not only is the car built and raced, but it is used to promote a great cause.  Read the story and follow the link to learn more about how the car is used to raise money to help sick children.
2003 Lancer Evolution 8 owned by Dr. Kevin Butterfield, Fishers, IN.
Dr. Butterfield is the founder of the Winged Warrior Performance
Challenge (http://www.wingedwarrior.net). The Winged Warrior Challenge
is a race and performance competition/ car show held annually with ll
proceeds going directly to the Riley Hospital for Children.
Dr. Butterfield has taken the car to the hospital on many occasions
to show the kids and has had many of the children there sign their
names on the car to become his honorary co-pilots.  The children at
Riley are always excited to see the car and thrilled to be a part of
the event - even if they cannot attend in person due to their illness.
During the last signing event, many Indy 500 race drivers also
contributed their signatures to the car.

My new Piaa 40 Series Lamps- What a difference

Tuesday, September 26th, 2006

I bought a Yukon Denali a few weeks back to drive daily while my project car was being built and told myself that i was going to leave it alone.  Yeah Right!!  Ive already made several lists of parts for it so that im covered no matter what direction I take the truck.  Do I want performance?  Do I want a show vehicle? Or do i simply want a nice looking SUV to pull our trailer to the shows and relax in?  Whichever direction I choose, when i look at my list, i noticed that some parts carried across all of them.  One of these was the Piaa 40 Round Series Driving Lamps.  The factory fog lights just werent cutting it, and to be honest, we just dont get much fog here.  I wanted to upgrade to a high performance driving light that would compliment my headlights, but would also serve a purpose.  Over the weekend I pulled out the factory fogs and After a few hours of making the Piaa Lamps fit in the factory cut outs, i had the look i was going for.  Ironically, It got dark on me before i could wire them, so i had to wait until Sunday to knock that out.  So, Sunday night I jumped in the truck and took her out for a midnight cruise.  The difference was incredible.  I spent some time aiming them and when I was done, i had a light beam the started about 4 feet in front of the truck and went almost as far as my low beams.  I have to say that this was one of my favorite functional mods Ive ever performed.  If I can motivate myself one weekend, ill put a factory one back in and take pics of the difference.

Here’s a little more info about them
